1. Prepare our Hearts
Lord, prepare our hearts to tell others about You! There are so many
hungry people out there asking questions. Give us boldness to tell
others what You have done in our lives. Help us to always be prepared
to reach people for Jesus as we celebrate the coming of the Christ
Child. "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be
prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason
for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect"
(1 Peter 3:15).
2. Read through Eph 6 on the Armor of God one more time.
The Armor of God
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the
full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's
schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against
the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark
world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil
comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done
everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled
around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and
with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of
peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take
the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word
of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of
prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the saints.
Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me
so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for
which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it
fearlessly, as I should.

Prepare our Hearts
Lord, prepare our hearts to be loving. There is no other like You.
Your Word says that to love You with all of our heart and soul and
strength and mind is the most important thing. We are also to love one
another deeply, from our hearts. Father, help us to love our neighbors
as ourselves as we wait for the coming of the Christ Child. "He
answered: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and,
'Love your neighbor as yourself'" (Luke 10:27). (See also: Matthew
22:37-38; Mark 12:32-33; 1 Peter 1:22-23)
